THE PACIFIC CONFERENCE: POWERED BY CRL

FULLERTON, California. (Wednesday, May 23, 2018) – The California Regional League (CRL) and U.S Youth Soccer announced today the formation of the new National League Pacific Conference. The Pacific Conference, powered by CRL, will play host to the top clubs and teams from the two State Associations within California, Cal South and Cal North.

“The collaboration between the National League Pacific Conference and the California Regional League (CRL) creates exciting possibilities for athletes, teams, and clubs playing in CRL,” said Steve Hoffman, Cal South Director of Coaching and Technical Advisor to CRL.  “The Pacific Conference, powered by CRL, is an exciting opportunity for our clubs and athletes to experience a quality playing environment.”

The new National Leagues structure is comprised of 13 conferences throughout the country. The Pacific Conference will be powered by CRL, and will guarantee promotion for the top finishers in to the U13-U19 age groups in the 2019-2020 National League.  Teams that win the National League, earn a direct qualification to the US Youth Soccer National Championships in July.

The primary focus of the CRL performance environment is to serve the needs of the athletes, coaches, clubs and parents, and to further the advancement of the game through accredited programing.

The CRL performance environment will further enhance the player performance pathway which aligns with U.S Soccer Standards and Player Development Initiatives (PDIs).  As an official identification event, CRL will be scouted by Cal South PRO+ ODP scouts.

The primary focus of the CRL performance environment is to serve the needs of the athletes, coaches, clubs and parents, and to further the advancement of the game through accredited programing.
